Free Wi-Fi is a great deal…unless someone uses it to steal your identity.  Keep your credit to yourself and be wise about free Wi-Fi.

How are you reading this blog?  Are you at home, a coffee shop, hotel, or library?  Who else has access to this Wi-Fi connection with you?  Are you on a public wireless network?  Whether you are on your laptop or smart phone, be sure that any personal or financial information you send will be protected.  If you are using an encrypted website, that is great, but it only protects information to and from that site.

Use a secure wireless network to ensure all the information you send on that network is protected.
